UNESCO Gochang Biosphere Reserve Center

The entire administrative district was designated as UNESCO Biosphere Reserve on May 29th, 2019.

The center was established to manage, preserve, and support the clean ecological environment of Gochang in a systematic and comprehensive way as the city’s entire administrative district was designated as UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

The center is a two-story building, and on the second floor the Department of Ecology and Environment of Gochang-gun Country Government (BR Team and Ecological Geography Team), offices for private organizations such as Gochang-gun Ecology, Environment Conservation Association, Gochang Ungok Wetland Tourism Association, lecture rooms, conference rooms, and a book café are located. On the first floor, AR and VR zones are prepared to vividly experience the Biosphere Reserves in Gochang along with a photo zone and other convenience facilities.
