- The logo is designed to symbolize the BR (Biosphere Reserve) of UNESCO Gochang Biosphere Reserve. “G”, the initial letter of Gochang, and animals and plants inhabiting the excellent, nature-friendly biosphere of Gochang are taken as a motif of its basic design, and they are expressed morphologically as well as structurally in it.
- The forms of animals and plants in the Biosphere Reserve are included in it as a transparent and clean image, so it symbolizes the fact that it is a well-preserved biosphere blessed by nature.
- • The certification logo is designed to connect the designation of it as UNESCO Biosphere Reserve to the vitalization of regional economy and sustainable development, and it contains the meaning of maximizing the brightest vision of Gochang for the future and publicity of the reserve.

- Green : symbolizes rare insects, plants, and mammals inhabiting the forest of Gochang.
- Blue-green : symbolizes amphibians and reptiles inhabiting the land of Gochang.

- Those producing agricultural, marine, livestock, or forest products or natural resources in clean Gochang (primary industry) and the people, corporations, or groups producing processed goods with the products above in Gochang (2nd industry)
Qualifications for application
- The producers or distributors of agricultural / forest products in Gochang which have been approved by a certifying office for eco-friendliness with organic farming or such
- The producers or distributors of livestock products in Gochang which have been approved by a certifying office with no use of antibiotic or such
- The producers or distributors of marine products in Gochang which have been approved by a certifying office with the quality of marine products / specializes or such
- The producers or distributors that utilize agricultural, marine, livestock, or forest products or natural resources produced in Gochang Biosphere Reserve as raw material (over 70%), manufacture goods in Gochang, and produce goods in companies certified with HACCP or such concerning food manufacture
