The mudflats in Gochang were designated as Ramsar Wetland by the World Wetland Protection Organization, Ramsar Convention in February 2010. Various mudflat organisms inhabit the ecosystem, including zoobenthos such as short neck clams, surf clams, and sand crabs. The mudflat is the repository of various ecological resources, such as halophyte (reed and sea blite) and birds (snipe, mallard duck and grey-headed lapwing). You can have various experiences, such as clam catching, eel catching, fishing using a fishing net and other traditional fishing methods while meeting various species of mudflat organisms with your lovers, children, and family on the mudflat in Gochang, where nature is alive and breathing. You can also make a new memory while taking a tractor-turned mudflat bus and enjoying a drive on the mudflat.
